Author Interview
Who or what influenced your writing once you began?
I’ve always loved m/m romance but I love yaoi. I wish I could draw and I would definitely draw yaoi if I could.
What’s the biggest writing challenge you’ve ever taken on? Did you succeed?
Everything I write constantly challenges me. I hope I’m succeeding!
What’s the best writing tip you’ve ever been given?
Don’t stop writing. Write every day, even if it’s only a little bit.
If you get writer’s block when you’re writing, how do you get around it?
I don’t get writer’s block. I don’t believe in it. I get fatigued where my mind melts and I’m done with writing for today. If I can’t seem to make a plot work, it jumped the rails sometime back and I need to figure out where. Or there is an outside force muscling in on my creativity.
Who is your favorite character from one of your stories and why?
I love Jamie from Trust In Me. He’s such a cutie. Plus he’s smart and good-looking. It’s no wonder Tristan fell in love with him.
What do you do to set the “writing mood”?
Headphones work in almost any situation. I do like to write sex scenes in public. I tend to make them dirtier when I feel like people are watching me.
What are you working on at the moment?
I’m working on two stories. One is an Urban Fantasy m/f het story set in Liverpool, England, current day. That is in the editing/re-write stages. The second is a m/m gay romance between a Dom and UCC Minister. I love writing that.
What is your favorite quote and why?
“That is another story and shall be told at another time.” – The Neverending Story. Our 4th grade teacher read this aloud to us and I really want to go back and read it.
Excerpt
I found it sad and horrible this was all my life boiled down to. At the end of all of it, I was trying to feel what I had felt when I looked at him. The anger bubbling up within me was simply the pain of being rejected that next morning.
I didn’t say a word to the provocation. I just finished my toast, which created a lump in my throat. I charged the bill to my room and then stood up. I took two steps, then leaned down so only he would hear me. “I don’t know if you are a closet case or what, but you don’t have to worry about me outing you. I’ll be your dirty little secret.” I took a deep breath to steady my voice. “Let’s just treat each other with some sort of civility.”

I couldn’t wait around for his agreement, because the way he looked up at me, those blue eyes of his wide and his lips parted, was driving me to the brink of insanity. I wanted to kiss him until I was drowning again. It took every ounce of strength to turn and walk away.
